Mr. Ashford Mwiti Kirimi Kathaara

Mr. Ashford Mwiti Kirmi Kathaara was appointed to the Council. He brings to the Council an extensive background marked by exemplary record of fiscal governance and planning. His professional journey attests to a commitment to precision, an unwavering dedication to fiscal prudence, and proven ability to navigate the complexities of financial management. This augurs well for the Council’s continued pursuit of excellence in healthcare regulation.

Prof. Rose Jepchumba Kosgei

Prof. Rose Jepchumba Kosgei is a dedicated Obstetrician/Gynecologist and Gynecologic Oncologist, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Nairobi’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Prof. Kosgei currently serves as the Coordinator of the Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship program within the Department

With a reputation as a diligent researcher, Prof. Kosgei’s primary focus revolves around harnessing routinely collected program data to inform evidence-based decision-making and drive policy transformations. She has over 100 peer reviewed publications and has offered support and leadership in developing standard operating procedures, guidelines, and policies for the Ministry of Health.

Her academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Health Sciences from Ghent University, Belgium (2023), a Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship from the University of Nairobi, Kenya (2021), a Masters in Clinical Trials from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK (2012), and a Master’s in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Nairobi, Kenya (2011). In addition, she holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Trials (London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK, 2010), a Postgraduate Diploma in Biomedical Research Methodology (University of Nairobi, Kenya, 2009), an Operations Research Fellowship (Centre for Operational Research, International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, France, 2011), and a Fogarty Research Fellowship in HIV/AIDS in Women from Brown University, Providence, RI, USA (2009).

Mr. Musa Kiptanui

Mr Moses Kiptanui is an Oral Health Officer with over 22 years of experience. Moses is currently serving as a Principal Oral Health Officer at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret.  He holds a Bachelor of Science Oral Health from Mount Kenya University and a Diploma in Oral Health from the Kenya Medical Training College. Moses is a member of the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital College of Health Science Curriculum Development (HND- Oral Health Restorative Dentistry)

INVITATION TO TENDER: PROVISION OF GROUP MEDICAL COVER FOR KENYA MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS AND DENTISTS’ COUNCIL STAFF AND COUNCIL MEMBERS

The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (“Council” of “KMPDC”) is a body corporate
established under Section 3 of the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act (CAP 253 Laws of Kenya) with the
mandate to regulate the training and practice of medicine, dentistry and community oral health within the
Republic of Kenya. The Council is also mandated by CAP 253 to regulate all health facilities within the
country.
The Council invites sealed tenders for the Provision of Group Medical Cover for KMPDC Staff and Council
Members.

Tendering will be conducted under open competitive tendering method using a standardized tender document
and is open to all qualified and interested tenderers.
