Leading with Impact!

Prof Magoha was my teacher in undergraduate and I will never forget his urology classes…”water must flow”!
Just as he was strict as he teacher he was strict and precise in all areas he served at UON, The Medical Board, AMCOA, KNEC and as Cabinet Secretary. He served with the utmost integrity and in all these areas his legacy as a change maker is intact and will not be forgotten.
Absolutely selfless as a leader and beneath the tough exterior a gentle spirit.
May he rest in eternal peace! May the Lord comfort and uphold his family.

A shoe that will never fit anyone

It takes ages for a society to raise an individual to the level of The late Professor Magoha.
The good Prof leaves behind a legacy to be emulated and admired. In his influence, we saw many great Doctors who went through his lectures and lessons. Such a dedication is rare on the face of the world today.
He leaves a big set of shoes that no one can adequately fit into.

Prof the Mentor, Coach & Family man

Prof held my hand as a young resident in Surgery while rotating in his ward 5A. I was about to give up after losing my wife in 1992 and 1994. He came into my life Nicknamed me Ngoroko and told me that Ngorokos don’t give up. As a family Man, he always used to check on me while I was working in Embu and visited me there just to encourage me as young surgeon and Med Supt. He was so happy to learn that my son had scored straight As and assured me that he will enroll him in med school, which he did. When my son had difficulties and opted to change to engineering, he facilitated that when he was the VC at UON.
Through my working life he was always concerned about my welfare and family. Until his demise he still called me Ngoroko.
I will dearly miss my mentor, coach and the fatherly advise.
May his soul rest in Eternal Peace

You were born in Ahono, went to local primary schools, passed by Starehe Boys as you indulged in your passion of music. At the time your leadership started showing as you led one of those Eastlando gangs. You then breezed through Strathmore, Lagos et Al. Came back with a bang in the late 80s. From there as they say, the rest is history. Everything you touched turned to GOLD. The legacy you have left in the medical/ surgical fraternity, at the UoN, the MPDC, KNEC will take a long time to be replicated. The individuals whose lives you have touched cannot be counted.
I cannot get enough words to eulogize you enough. I thank God that I am one of the people whose lives you personally touched
